Title: INDUSTRIAL ARTS CTE TEACHER
Job Description & Details:
Primero RE-2 School District is currently seeking an Industrial Arts CTE Teacher. Currently the job requires a person to teach middle school and high school students in a variety of shop related classes. Woodworking, automotive, and welding as well as the safety aspects of each are some of the opportunities available. This current curriculum is open to change depending on applicants skills. A teaching license or a vocational license is required or can be obtained. This is a full-time position for the 2025-2026 school year.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction in the classroom to students.
- Work with parents and agency personnel in coordinating needs for each students
- Maintain accurate, complete and correct records by law, district policy and administrative regulation.
- Willingness to provide support/instruction in other extra-curricular activities.
- Willingness to work within a small school setting.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid Colorado Certification/license as required by Colorado Department of Education or the credentials to obtain a Colorado License.
- Ability to work as part of a teacher team in the development and direction of the program
- Ability to work with parents and other school personnel in coordinating needs for each student.
- Creative and positive communication skills with the ability to problem solve effectively.
Experience and/or knowledge:
- Create a safe and supportive instructional environment.
- Understanding and implementation of curriculum and the Colorado Academic Standards as related to position.
- Adapt and implement age appropriate and skill based lessons to improve and enhance student learning.
- The implementation of inclusion experiences for students with disabilities within the school setting and community.
- Collaborating with teachers/paraprofessionals to provide strategies of instruction modifications, and/or accommodations for students on an IEP or other academic plans.
- Collaborating With teachers, paraprofessionals, parents, administration and all stakeholders in all academic areas. Be a resource to other staff and students.
- Demonstrate effective and positive communication skills, both verbal and written with all students, staff and stakeholders.
- Ensure effective evaluation of student growth and achievement.
- Effective interactions with all stakeholders both within and outside the educational environment.
- Ensure appropriate and effective student mentoring strategies
- Ensure that all students adhere to school and district code of conduct and expectations.
- Actively participate in all staff development, PLC’s, parent teacher conferences, openhouse, school awards programs. etc.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

- Conditions include working inside and outside, working around machines with moving parts and moving objects, working closely with others, working alone, and traveling by car, van, bus.

Terms of Employment:
- Number of Teacher Days assigned annually according to District Approved Calendar and contract provisions.
- Salary and benefits as per Board policy.
Evaluation:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with state statute and the Board policy and procedure for evaluation of certified/licensed staff.
